Last updated 12 October 2026

This policy explains how Kay's Auto Services (“we”, “us”) uses personal information when you visit this website, contact us or book your car in. We are the data controller for that information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Kay's Auto Services Bethnal Green, Digby St, Bethnal Green, London E2 0LS, United Kingdom. Phone +44 7922 220900.

What we collect

  • Booking and contact forms: your name, mobile number, email address (optional), vehicle registration, make and model, the service you need, your preferred date and time, and anything you write in the message box.
  • Calls, WhatsApp and email: whatever you choose to share with us, such as photos or videos of your car.
  • Basic server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this website.

How we use it and our lawful basis

  • To reply to you, arrange your booking and carry out the work: necessary for a contract, or steps before entering one, at your request.
  • To send you a confirmation copy of your booking request: necessary for that contract.
  • To keep records for accounts and tax: legal obligation.
  • To keep the website secure: our legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it with services that help us run the business:

  • Our website host, which serves the site and runs the booking form function.
  • Our email delivery provider, which sends booking notifications and confirmation emails.
  • WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there.
  • Google, only if you choose to load the map on our contact or area pages.
  • Parts suppliers, only your vehicle details where needed to order the right parts.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

Booking requests that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records of work carried out and invoices are kept for six years to meet tax rules.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy to move elsewhere. Contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
